A GnRH antagonist medication (brand names Ganirelix or Orgalutran) used to prevent premature LH surge during IVF stimulation.
In IVF Treatment
Ganirelix works identically to Cetrotide and is often used interchangeably. It blocks GnRH receptors immediately upon administration and is given as a subcutaneous injection starting mid-stimulation.
