An enlargement of the veins within the scrotum, similar to varicose veins, which can impair sperm production and quality.
In IVF Treatment
Varicoceles are found in 35-40% of men with infertility. Surgical repair (varicocelectomy) may improve sperm parameters over 3-6 months. In some cases, proceeding with IVF/ICSI using existing sperm may be preferred over waiting for surgical results.
