An ultrasound procedure in which saline is injected into the uterus to better visualize the uterine cavity and detect polyps or fibroids.
In IVF Treatment
Also called sonohysterography or SHG, this procedure is often used before IVF to ensure the uterine cavity is clear of abnormalities that could impair implantation.
