Recurrent Pregnancy Loss(RPL)
diagnosisDefinition
Defined as two or more pregnancy losses. Causes include chromosomal abnormalities, uterine factors, clotting disorders, and hormonal issues.
In IVF Treatment
RPL workup often leads to IVF with PGT-A to select chromosomally normal embryos, particularly if prior losses were due to aneuploidy. Uterine evaluation and immunological testing may also be recommended.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will PGT-A stop recurrent miscarriages?
If chromosomal abnormality is the cause, PGT-A can significantly reduce miscarriage risk by ensuring only euploid embryos are transferred. However, RPL has multiple potential causes, and PGT-A alone may not address all of them.
